Mirza Fakhrul taken to DB HQ for interrogation

Acting Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, was on Saturday taken to the Detective Branch’s headquarter in the capital from the Kashimpur Central Jail for interrogating him for instigating 20-30 unidentified leaders in setting a bus on fire.
Kashimpur part 1 central jail’s senior superintendent Jahangir Kabir told New Age that they sent Fakhrul in the custody of the Paltan police station for three days at about 10AM on Saturday following a magistrate court’s order that, on January 27, allowed the police a three days remand for him on January 27.
Fakhrul’s remand in DB custody was coincided the incident of snapping supply of the power, cable TV network, mobile and internet services to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia who was confined and her subsequent stay at her party office since January 3.
Fakhrul was remanded in custody for the first time since his six-time previous arrest from May 2012 to till January 6, this year, said a party activist closed to him.
