Civil aviation staff held with 4.2 kg gold at airport

Customs official arrested an employee of the Civil Aviation Authority along with gold bars weighing 4.2 kg at Shahjalal International Airport here on Saturday.
The arrestee was identified as Hafizur Rahman, 35, a boarding bridge operator of the civil aviation authority, reports United News of Bangladesh.
Tipped off, a team of customs officials challenged Hafizur as he arrived here by a flight of Thai Airways around 12:40pm, said assistant commissioner (customs) Farid Al Mamun.
He said they recovered four gold bars weighing one kg each and two others weighing 100 grams each worth TK 1.80 crore after searching his body.
