True deep

by Karishma Sinha

Feel the sun on my arms, my legs my eyes and the sunbeams feel me in turn, gently giving in.
The tang of salt in my mouth as the full moon assaults, silver arcs gently slicing through a restless body, caresses until I reach the sand, a warm embrace.
Like a bride, my feet tinkle in response, until I am caught, bathed and purified by the crashing waves, bound by ropes of glowing moonlight.
Until I’m treading even deeper into the sands warm embrace and the waves rise and roar, resounding through my salty blood.
Till I fade away with foamy crests, to be reborn once again, the gentle lap of waves at my feet, etched in my soul, the thirst for true deep.
