The Anti-Corruption Commission has handed the wealth statements of six ministers and lawmakers of the immediate-past Awami League-led government over to its inquiry officers for scrutiny of the legal and illegal wealth.
The commission on Monday handed over the statements asking the officers to see if there was any difference between what they said in their statements submitted to the Election Commission for the national elections and in the statements submitted to the Anti-Corruption commission, an official told New Age.
The officers have also been asked to see if there was any difference between what the Anti-Corruption Commission had found to be wealth in their possession and what they had said in the statements submitted to the Anti-Corruption Commission.
The official also said that the commission’s special inquiry and investigation department also asked to the officers to find out any probable undisclosed wealth of the former ministers and lawmakers.
