Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Thursday that a greater national unity involving the people of the country would be formed for a movement against the government.
He was talking to journalists at the party’s central office at Nayapaltan.
The speech of Fakhrul followed the announcement made by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia a few days ago when she said the BNP would wage a greater movement against the government after the Eid.
Fakhrul, however, said that the movement would be peaceful and that the people would join it spontaneously.
He said that this time the party would intensify such movement in the capital where Dhaka leaders and activists would mostly join in.
