10 bodies found at Padma, Gorai rivers

A rescue team found ten dead bodies on Thursday morning in the rivers of Padma and Gorai near Bairagir char at Daulatpur of Kushtia, following a boat capsize, officials said.
The boat carrying 12 people came across high and turbulent waves when it sank on Tuesday, according to Deputy Commissioner Belal Hossain of Kushtia district.
The DC at a press conference this morning said that among the dead there were three children, two women and five men and that the bodies of two more could not be recovered.
The victims are: Kalu, Swapan, Sahajul, Shipon, Imran, Poli, Eva, Eeti, keyamoni and Shikha. The bodies found near Bhabaniganj ghat of Khokshah have been sent to Kushtia sadar hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Divers from the Fire Service and Civil Defence joined the dead body searching operation.
