Shibir calls off Sunday’s strike

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir on Saturday called off their Sunday’s countrywide general strike.
In a press release, Shibir said they withdrew their strike because of inclement weather and National University’s Masters final examination scheduled for June 30.
They also threatened to commence tougher programmes from July 3 if their activists and leaders, including their central president Delwar Hossain, were not released by July 2.
As per their earlier-declared programme, Shibir activists held demonstrations in Rajshahi on Saturday.
