Jamaat man held in cop killing case in Jhenaidah

An activist of the Jamaat-e-Islami was held by police on Friday for his alleged involvement in killing a policeman in Harinakinda upazila.
The arrested was identified as Rahaj Uddin, son of Jobed Ali, of village Chatkabaria under the upazila.
Harinakundu police station officer-in-charge Mahibul Islam said, Rahaj Uddin was accused in the murder case in which police constable Omar Farooque was chopped to death by the Jamaat-Shibir men during a violence at the upazila parishad complex in March this year.
The arrested was sent to the Jhenaidah prison, the police said.
