Cardiac specialists on Thursday called on the people of Bangladesh to develop a healthy food habit to keep heart diseases away.

Cardiac surgeons and consultants of the hospital briefed the attendees about the primary symptoms of CVD.
They said patients complaining pain on the left side of their chests, pain at jaw, extreme tiredness after small works and sweating, should consult with any heart specialist as these are the primary symptoms of CVD.
The physicians said the patients who complained about primarily symptoms of CVD should take an aspirin dissolving in a half of glass of water immediately and then they should be taken to a nearby hospital.
‘Taking aspirin decreases heart complications more than 30 per cent’, said United Hospital CVD consultant Kaiser Nasrullah.
Fatema Begum, another CVD consultant of the hospital, said the CVD symptoms are seen less in women patients and that women folks of over 40 needed special attentions.
The chief cardiac surgeon and director of the hospital’s cardiac centre, Jahangir Kabir, said that the food habit of the people aged 30 should strictly be followed as about 75 per cent of the cardiac patients were suffering from diabetes.
The hospital’s chief cardiology consultant, NAM Momenuzzaman, said that there were 18 health facilities in the capital Dhaka where heart surgeries were being conducted and that United Hospital earned fame over treatment of CVD.
