Afroza Abbas made Mahila Dal president

Afroza Abbas has been made president and Sultana Ahmed general secretary of the central committee of Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal, the women front of Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
Nurzahan Yasmin has been made senior vice-president, Zeba Khan vice-president and Helen Zerin Khan joint general secretary of the central committee.
Both the outgoing president Noor-e-Ara Safa and the general secretary, Shirin Sultana, of the organisation did not find any position in the newly formed partial committee, the party sources said.
The new central committee of Mohila Dal Dhaka city north and south units have also been announced in a press release, which stated on Tuesday that BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir approved the new committees at the directive of the party’s chairperson.
Peara Mostofa has been made president and Amena Begum general secretary of the Dhaka city north unit while Razia Alim has been made president and Shamsun Nahar Begum general secretary of the Dhaka city south unit, said the press release.
Afroza Abbas, wife of BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, was vice-president of the outgoing committee of Mahila Dal.
New general secretary of the central Mahila Dal Sultana Ahmed was president of Dhaka city unit.
Outgoing president Noor-e-Ara Safa was made BNP’s woman affairs secretary.
