Govt appoints three new ambassadors

The government has appointed three career diplomats as ambassador to Germany, Egypt and Portugal, foreign ministry releases said.
Imtiaz Ahmed, currently Bangladesh ambassador to Portugal, was made the country’s new ambassador to Germany. Before that he completed ambassadorial appointments in Sweden, Nepal and Bhutan and served several other Bangladesh missions in different capacities.
Muhammad Ali Sorcar, currently Bangladesh ambassador to Germany, was made the country’s ambassador to Egypt. He has completed ambassadorial appointments in the Netherlands and Germany and served several other Bangladesh missions in different in capacities.
Ruhul Alam Siddique, currently director general of the East Asia and Pacific Wing at the foreign ministry, was made next ambassador to Portugal.
