A nerve-wrecking situation

The other day, I was in my office doing my usual work. Suddenly, the building started shaking. I first thought that I was pushed by someone but in some moments, I could realise that it was an earthquake. Soon after, panic gripped the colleagues. Some rushed for safety and quickly moved downstairs. Meanwhile, I could hear people screaming as people hurried down the stairway. Half an hour later, when I went out of the building, I saw some were still waiting in front of the building, panicked and grim. Earthquake is shaking the country quite often and we should have the preparedness to stave off any untoward situation
