Popular singers render a song in chorus at National Museum auditorium. — Snigdha Zaman

Eminent Nazrul Sangeet singers of the country on Saturday enthralled the audience with a number of songs of the genre at a programme at the main auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum.
The show concluded a two-day programme organised by Nazrul Institute marking the 40th death anniversary of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
The first part of the programme was held on Friday at the institute headquarters in Dhanmondi.
Among singers who performed on Saturday were Ferdous Ara, Salauddin Ahmed, Yasmin Mushtari, Lina Tapashi Khan, Nashid Kamal and Yakub Ali Khan.
Ferdous Ara began the solo segment by presenting Khelichho E Bishwaloye, followed by Nashid Kamal who presented Rohi Rohi Keno Sei Mukh.
Yasmin Mushtari, another popular singer of the genre, presented the romantic song He Priyo Amare Dibona Bhulite while Salauddin Ahmed and Yakub Ali Khan rendered Amar E Bhanga Ghore and Amar Achhe Ei Kakhana Gaan, respectively.
Meanwhile, the sole chorus performance of the day was based on the song Dao Sourjo Dao Dhorjo, sung in unison by both the soloists as well as the artistes of Nazrul Institute.
