Rashid Askari made IU VC

Dr Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, professor of English department of Islamic University in Kushtia, has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor of the university, according to a gazette notification issued by the education ministry on Sunday.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif confirmed the news around 3:20pm, saying that the chancellor, also the president of the republic, made the appointment in exercise of the authority bestowed on him under the Islamic University Act 1980, 10 (1).
