Court orders DNA test of Dhaka raid militants

A Dhaka court on Sunday ordered for DNA test of the nine militants killed in Operation Storm-26 at Kalyanpur in the capital on July 26.
Metropolitan magistrate Md Mazharul Islam, responding to a petition of Detective Branch of Police inspector Jahangir Alam of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit, also ordered to arrange tests of urine, stool, hair and clothes of the militants.
Inspector Jahangir Alam appealed to the court to allow the tests.
Earlier on July 27, a team of three forensic experts of Dhaka Medical College led by its forensic department assistant professor Sohel Mahmud, conducted post-mortem examination of the bodies and collected viscera and samples of hair and blood for further examinations.
