6 killed in separate accidents on Dhk-Ctg highway

Six people, including two women, were killed and 10 others injured in separate accidents on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Daribausia of Munshiganj and Chauddagram of Comilla on Sunday.
Three people, including a woman, was killed and eight others injured as a bus overturned after hitting a road divider at Chauddagram early Sunday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Omar Faruk, 29, son of Abul Kalam, resident of Laksam and Monuza Begum, 60, wife of Abdur Razzak, resident of Chauddagram, reports United News of Bangladesh.
Mohammad Forhad, officer-in-charge of Chauddagram police station, said the accident took place, as the ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ bus losing control on its wheels hit the road divider and overturned on the highway around 4:30am, leaving three of its passengers dead on the spot.
Eight other people were also injured, who were admitted to Chauddagram Upazila Health Complex.
New Age correspondent in Munshiganj reports three people were killed and two others injured as a Comilla-bound car crashed onto a tree at Daribausia of Gazaria at around 11:00am.
Three passengers of the car– Kajal Rani Das,18, Ratan Chandra Das, 30, died on the spot and two other passengers were injured. The driver of the car, Sajal, 30, died on way to hospital.
The injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
All but the driver were identified to be of a same family.
