3-day street theatre festival held in Nawapara

A three-day street theatre festival was held at the Nawapara Shankarpasha Secondary School of Nawapara in Jessore.
The festival, organised by Kathakali theatre troupe in association with Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation, began on Thursday.
It was inaugurated by former secretary Nazrul Islam Khan with local dignitaries in attendance while the concluding ceremony was attended by Dr Humayun Kabir, deputy commissioner of Jessore.
A total of 18 theatre groups and organisations from different districts took part in the festival and staged their shows.
Among them were Shuktagni Natya Sangstha (Khulna), Ankur Natya Academy (Jhenaidah), Deepalok Academy (Satkhira), Jugantor Sangskritik Sangsad (Narail), Bihanga Sangskritik Charcha Kendra (Jhenaidah), Rudra Natyadal (Bagerhat), Kalpurush Natya Goshthi (Kaliganj), Tirjok Jessore, Manchakatha (Khulna), and Bibartan Jessore, Ananya 79 Natyadal (Kushtia).
There were also Bibartan Jhikargachha, Binoymani Theatre (Daulatpur), Sundali Madhyamik Bidyalaya, Nawapara Shankarpasha Secondary School, Saptarshi Sangeet Bidyalaya (Nawapara), Bangla Theatre (Kushtia) and Kathakali (Nawapara).
