Bangladesh cricket team’s pace bowling coach Heath Streak is likely to be appointed as the bowling coach of Gujarat Lions, the new IPL franchise based in Rajkot, according to a report of Cricinfo.
Zimbabwean Streak is contracted by Bangladesh to work for 450 days over two years, which runs out in June.
However, the contract is not exclusive and the Bangladesh Cricket Board does not intend to prevent him taking the job, said the report.
Streak has developed a strong reputation as a coach. Since his appointment with Bangladesh, in May 2014, the team’s ODI results have improved sharply with pacers like Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Rubel Hossain developing into highly promising players.
