NETROKONA WAR CRIMES: ICT issues arrest warrant against 2 suspects

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Monday issued warrants of arrests against two war crimes suspects of Atpara in Netrokona.
The tribunal also showed another accused, Sohrab Fakir, 87, arrested in the case. The prosecution did not disclose the names of the two suspects for the sake secrecy.
The tribunal passed the order responding to a petition by the prosecution and set March 30 for further order.
Prosecutor Zead Al Malum submitted the petition to the tribunal and submitted that war crimes investigation agency had begun investigation against the three accused and had been getting evidences of their involvement in committing crimes against humanity at different places in Atpara.
He prayed that the three were needed to be kept in jail for sake of fair and effective probe.
Malum submitted that Sohrab Fakir was arrested on Thursday in connection with a case filed with Gauripur in Mymensingh and he is now in Mymensingh jail.
According to the prosecution, the suspects were the leaders and activists of Jamaat and were members of the infamous Razakar Force during the Liberation War.
In another order, the tribunal directed its registrar office to publish advertisement in newspaper asking absconding war crimes accused Idris Ali Sardar of Shariatpur to appear before it.
Idris Ali, one of the two accused in a case filed, allegedly for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in Shariatpur.
The other accused, Suliman Mollah, is now arrested and behind the bars.
