ACC summons Dhaka city AL leader Shahe Alam

The Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned Dhaka city Awami League leader Shahe Alam Murad on February 9 for interrogation about his alleged accumulation of illegal wealth.
Shahe Alam, the acting organising secretary of the unified Dhaka city unit of the ruling party, is an aspirant for the position of general secretary in one of the two bifurcated city units of the Awami League.
The summons, issued by commission’s deputy director Sheikh Abdus Salam on February 1, said that the commission was conducting an inquiry into Makan Group chairman Shahe Alam’s wealth on allegation that he had accumulated illegal wealth.
The summons also warned Shahe Alam that legal action would be taken against him if he filed to appear before the commission by 10:00am on February 9.
