Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed held its annual sponsored walk at the Gulshan Lake Park in the capital on Friday morning.
Over 200 people including CRP patients, staff members, foreign volunteers and students, teachers and officials of different educational institutions joined the programme with the slogan entitled ‘Break barriers, open doors: for an inclusive society and development for all’.
Since 2004, CRP has been organising the walk to raise fund for rehabilitation of the people with disabilities and build public awareness regarding the issue, organisers said.
The participants completed as many circles of the park as they could while they were joined by members of their family and friends.
Members of Gulshan Club, Gulshan Society, Gulshan Health Club, local dignitaries and CRP executive director Shafiqul Islam, among others, were present on the occasion.
