Wall collapse kills minor boy in capital

A three-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed when a portion of a wall collapsed on him in Dhaka on Wednesday noon.
The victim was identified as Saim, son of Abdul Mannan, was a resident of Mirbagh in the capital’s Moghbazar area.
The incident occurred around 12:30pm on Wednesday when Saim and couple of other children were playing, said Abdul Mannan.
A dilapidated wall of an adjacent house had a major crack in it and a portion of the wall suddenly collapsed on Saim leaving him critically injured, Mannan added.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on duty physician pronounced him dead around 2:30pm on Wednesday.
Moshiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ramna police station, said the family was yet to file any case in this regard till reporting the news.
The police would file an unnatural death case if the family does not do so, the officer added.
