3 killed in districts

At least three people were killed or found dead in Sylhet, Sirajganj and Madaripur on Monday.
Our Sylhet correspondent reported that the police recovered the body of a man from a shop at Dubag Bazaar of Bianibazar upazila in the morning.
The deceased was identified as Shakil Ahmad, 28, resident of village Uttar Charia of Bianibazar; he was employee of Ibrahim Stores of the bazaar.
Bianibazar police officer-in-charge Juber Ahmad told New Age that they recovered the body from the shop and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for postmortem examinations.
No injury mark was found in the body, he added.
Our correspondent in Sirajganj reported that a man was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy on the east bank of the River Jamuna.
The deceased was identified as Babu Sheikh, residence of Putiabari area of Sirajganj sadar upazila.
Sirajganj sadar police subinspector Manikul Islam said the clash took place over extracting sand from the area near Water Development Board embankment.
Our Madaripur correspondent reported that the police recovered the body of a sailor of a ship from the River Padma in Shibchar.
The victim was identified as Chan Miah, residence of Madbarer Char of Shibchar.
The family said that Chan Miah was missing since January 25.
Madaripur assistant police superintendent Moniruzzaman Fakir said that four crews of the ship threw Chan Miah away from the vessel as he resisted them while they were trying to hijack the Mawa-bound ship from Shibchar.
The police arrested four people in this connection, he added.
