Bangladesh U19 beats South Africa by 43 runs

Bangladesh defeated the defending champion South Africa by 43 runs in the opening match of the U19 World Cup in Chittagong on Wednesday.
After putting 240 on the board, Bangladesh never looked back as South Africa lost wickets in regular intervals.
Liam Smith scored 100 from 146 balls and the the next highest score in South Africa’s scorecard is 22.
Bangladesh skipper Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Mohammad Saifuddin bagged three wickets each, while Saeed Sarkar and Saleh Ahmed Shawon both bagged a brace.
Bangladesh batted first after winning the toss, Bangladesh and scored 240 for 7. Nazmul Hossain Shanto scored 74.
South African bowler Wiaan Mulder took three wickets for 42.
Bangladesh will play their next match against Scotland on January 31.
