Two B’desh games not open to public

Common Bangladeshi cricket fans will be unable to enjoy at least two matches of the junior Tigers in the forthcoming under-19 World Cup from the ground as there will be no ticket for public in Cox’s Bazar venue.
Bangladesh under-19 team will play two of their three group matches at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket stadium at Cox’s Bazar, which has the capacity of only 1600 spectators.
A spokesman of the International Cricket Council on Sunday confirmed that all tickets of the Cox’s Bazar venue were given to local administration for the complementary distribution.
There was no provision of ticket in the last three Under-19 World Cups. But hosts Bangladesh Cricket Board earlier said it included the provision of ticket for this year’s tournament as a security measure.
The BCB in a press release on Sunday stated that the tickets for the competition will be on sale from Tuesday, the day before the tournament commences.
Bangladesh will play against Scotland and Namibia in Cox’s Bazar, respectively on January 31 and February 2.
The two venues in the beach town will host a total of 16 matches, including the Plate final.
Bangladesh will start their campaign against South Africa on January 27 in Chittagong, where fans will get the chance to purchase the tickets pricing in the range of 20-200 taka.
The fans of other three venues- Dhaka, Narayanganj and Sylhet can buy them from Thursday.
In Dhaka the ticket price will be lowest 20 taka and highest 300 taka and they have to be bought from Mirpur Indoor Stadium counter.
To enjoy the matches at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium fans have to buy tickets from Jubo Unnayan Adidaptor, Jalkori, Fatullah and the price range will be same as that of Dhaka.
The price range of the tickets to watch Sylhet matches will be 30-200 taka.
No tickets will be sold at match venues and a person is allowed to purchase a maximum of five tickets for a particular match.
