2-day CSE carnival begins at SUST

The 5th Computer Science & Engineering Carnival-2015 begun on Shahjalal University of Science and Technology campus on Friday morning.
SUST CSE department, in association with the software institution IP Vision Canada Incorporation, arranged the two-day carnival.
Professor Saleh Uddin, former vice-chancellor of the SUST, inaugurated the festival as the chief guest at about 10:00am at Wazed Miah ICT Building on the campus.
Noted author and academician Muhammad Zafar Iqbal also attended the programme as a special guest.
Zafar Iqbal, while addressing the inaugural session, said the CSE carnival would inspire students’ creativity.
The programme convener, Shahidur Rahman, said the two-day fest would include programming competition, software developing competition, gamming completion and project exhibition.
Around 1,000 students of different universities are expected to participate in the festival, he added.
The information and technology affairs state minister, Junayed Ahmed Palak, is expected to attend the concluding session of the carnival on Saturday as the chief guest, the convener said.
