3 students killed in Tangail accident

Three students of deferent educational institutes were killed in a road accident near Bangabandu Bridge at Mirzapur in Tangail on Wednesday.
The victims are Md Shah Alam, student of Bangladesh Agriculture university, of Chauhaat village of Dhamrai in Dhaka, Habibur Rahman, student of Savar Gana Shastha Medical College, of Borojethail village and Forhad Hossen, student of Mirpur Bangla College, of Balia village of same upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Gorai highway police station, Humayon Kabir, said the victims were riding on a motor bike when a bus of Hanif Paribahan from opposite direction hit them at Kodhim Dholla on the highway.
The accident left the trio seriously injured prompting the locals to rush them to Kumudini Medical College and Hospital.
On-duty doctors declared Shah Alam and Habibur dead at the hospital.
Later Forhad succumbed to his injuries at about 4:00pm when he was being shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Police seized the bus but the driver and his assistant managed to flee.
