Bangladesh is a home of natural beauty with its numerous rivers. But pollution of these rivers is threatening human life and biodiversity related to these rivers. Even the fish cannot survive in these waters due to rampant discharge of industrial effluents and untreated sewage. After using the water, many people are suffering from various water borne diseases. Lax surveillance and protective measures from the concerned agencies of the government is intensifying the crisis.
