Football League gets Manyavar as sponsor

The football authority of Bangladesh has been able to fetch sponsor just two days before the kick off of the Bangladesh Premier League – the number one domestic competition.
During the last season BFF had to conduct the tournament without title sponsor for the first 35 matches of the tournament.
Bangladesh Football Federation is going to endow the sponsorship right for the tournament of the current year to Manyavar, producers of men’s outfit along with KFC, Pragatic Insurance, Amber Group and Treasurer as co-sponsors.
They will generate only about one third of the estimated budget of TK 5 crore to run the tournament.
The 11 participating teams will receive the lion share of the amount as BFF will disseminate TK 2.75 crore to their disposal as participation money.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin   hailed the support of sponsors at the introduction programme of the sponsors at the BFF House on Sunday.
‘We are grateful to all sponsors who have come forward to sponsor the Bangladesh Premier League,’ Salahuddin said at a press conference on Sunday.
‘We need you because you [sponsors] are one of the most important elements of developing the football. And if you continue supporting football, I am sure it will go forward.’
His deputy Abdus Salam Murshedy   endorsed the willingness of Manyavar adding that they co-operated BFF during the recently concluded AFC Under-23 Championship Qualifiers and promised to keep that support.
‘I first want to thank BFF for giving us opportunity to be involved with football,’ said Imran Islam Chowdhury, the managing director of Vintage Denim Ltd, the introducer of Indian clothing brand Manyavar, which mainly  sells wedding outfits.
‘We have brought the Manyavor brand in Bangladesh for last three years and we want to promote Manyavar in Bangladesh with the association of football,’ he added, expressing his intention that Manyavar would be associated with football for the next five years.
The new edition of Bangladesh Premier League will begin on Tuesday.
